The role

intelliHR (ASX:IHR) is a rapidly growing Software-as-a-Service (web application) startup specialising in innovative human capital management. The engineering department is on the lookout for a dedicated iteration manager.  This role would act as a force-multiplier to existing domain teams, enabling the engineers to smoothly deliver a roadmap of features to intelliHR’s online platform. intelliHR’s online platform is focused on people performance management and compliance tracking (such as recording training, goals, skills, and qualifications).

About you

The primary responsibilities of an iteration manager are:

  • Organise, facilitate and document Agile ceremonies for multiple software engineering teams at once
  • Consistently analyse team behaviours and performance, in order to effect positive change
  • Conduct regular and valuable 1-on-1 catch-ups with team members, making contemporaneous performance and morale notes
  • Contribute to staff professional development by assigning and maintaining team members’ goals
  • Maintain team metrics for accurate reporting to stakeholders
  • Remove impediments blocking teams’ development progress
  • Negotiate priorities and scope of epics/projects
  • Managing teams’ issue development cycle
  • Contribute to recruitment processes

The successful candidate must have all of the following:

  • Formalised training in a relevant field (a bachelor degree, diploma, certification or accelerated course) or equivalent working experience
  • An additional 2+ years of experience in an iteration management or similar role, preferably with SaaS products
  • Comprehensive experience with agile practices and rituals

The successful candidate should have most of the following:

  • Competency with SDLC
  • Competency with basic cloud software patterns and protocols (e.g. common architecture and standards)
  • Competency with SaaS deployment pipelines and their impact on CI/CD
  • Demonstrated experience implementing organisational change

The successful candidate could have experience with any of the following:

  • People management or HRIS industries
  • Working with and maintaining both monolithic services and microservices
  • AWS products and platforms
